7/4 - Canoeing in Lake Washington

Today we went canoeing on Lake Washington -- if anyone knows Lake Washington in Seattle it's a big lake!!! When I first looked at it I thought -- oh shit!!!! And anyone that knows me knows that I don't swear very much..... It turned out great because we were going only on the lake for a 1/2 mile or so and then into what is called the Mercer Slough (Slew). It's a nice quiet paddle way we didn't have camera's with us because I just did not want to take them thru the rough water - it looked like an ocean! We saw a few wild things - frogs, turtles and blue herron - it was a very nice paddle. Sorry no pictures for this one!
