This day was not as bad as others -- it was 200+ miles but it was not all desert and it went by much faster and much less wind. The area between Barstow and right up to Tehacapi Pass was still desert but had a ton of wind mills. The roadway once we got on CA99 was not really very nice but the scenery was green fields.
